The Company was initially established by Mr. Lisjanto Tjiptobiantoro and Mr. Atmadja Tjiptobiantoro in 1989 with initial paid up capital of Rp. 5 billion, then increased to Rp. 9 billion in October 1991. In September 1994, the shareholders decided to further increase the capital up to Rp. 19,7 billion.

In June 1996, the Company’s new partner, Tan Chong Credit Pte. Ltd injected, fresh funds of Rp. 22,6 billion. This new fund injection increases the Company’s total paid up capital to Rp. 37.88 billion plus additional paid in capital of Rp. 4.46 million in 1997. As time progresses, the interest of Mr. Lisjanto Tjiptobiantoro was modified to be represented (52%) in PT. Tifa Inti Tunggal (PT. TIT), along with Mr. David Irawan Tjiptobiantoro (23,99%, Ms. Nathania Fariah Tjiptobiantoro (23,99%) and Mrs. Greet Tjiptobiantoro (0,02%).

In October 2006, the existing shareholders increased the paid up capital to Rp. 102.39 billion proportionally.
